Chicago artists are getting together for a one of a kind musical fundraiser on April 30th at 7 p.m. called ‘Our City of Neighbors’ which will be streaming on YouTube and hosted by Matthew Rodrigues. Here is a taste of what to expect with Katie Kadan’s soulful performance of ‘Take Me to the River’.

Chicago’s music scene has been making do with livestream concerts during the pandemic shutdown, with bands getting increasingly creative as staying at home persists.

Tomorrow, we’ll get to see one of the best lineups for a digital show yet. A group of Chicago musicians including Jeff Tweedy, Katie Kadan, The O’My’s, Ric Wilson, NNAMDÏ and more will perform during a virtual benefit concert dubbed “Our City of Neighbors.”

Do Good #117: Chicago Independent Music Livestream

New organization Windy City Indie has launched in the middle of this pandemic to provide a little bit of light to Chicago’s residents, and a lot of support for Chi-town’s independent artists. Their first organized event, Our City Our Neighbors, will be a livestreamed concert featuring Chicago artists taking place this Thursday April 30. All proceeds from the concert will go to frontline organizations. LM
